Park Bo Gum; one of the hottest young actors.

 

 

Park Bo Gum; the actor who stole many fans’ hearts throughout his roles in different genres of series and movies.

He was born on June 16th, 1993 in Seoul. Started his acting career with a supporting role in the thriller movie; “Blind” at his teenage years.

He then featured in the action-comedy movie “Runway Cop”, KBS’ drama special “Still Picture” and as a cameo in the period drama “Bridal Mask”. All at the same year; 2012.

In 2013, he got his first major role in the weekend series “Wonderful Mama” playing the role of the playboy son of Bae Jong Ok.

 

Park Bo Gum gained a lot of attention since then; as he continued in 2014, he played the teenage version of Lee Seo Jin's character in the melodrama “Wonderful Days”, and in KBS2’s “Naeil’s Cantabile” as Lee Yoon Ho.
Playing those unlike roles, earned him Best New Actor nominations in the KBS Drama Awards and APAN Star Awards.

Next, he featured in the crime action thriller movie “A Hard Day” as a police officer, and in the naval war movie “The Admiral: Roaring Currents”.

 

 

In May 2015, Park Bo Gum joined Music Bank as a co-host alongside Red Velvet's Irene. Where they both grabbed attention for their high chemistry and hosting skills which awarded Park Bo Gum the Best Newcomer Award at the KBS Entertainment Awards. But he left the show later in 2016.

 

 

With another role in the crime drama “Hello Monster” alongside with Seo In Guk and Jang Nara the portrayal allowed him to win the Popularity and Best Supporting Actor awards at the year-end KBS Drama Awards.

The same year, he featured in “Coin Locker Girl” what earned him a few nominations to other awards.

 

He then starred at “Reply 1988” which kept him winning more awards and gaining more recognition.

 

 

2016 was Park Bo Gum’s most successful year, as his main role in the historical drama “Love in The Moonlight” with the actress Kim Yoo Jung, made the whole drama a national and international hit.
And that was when he won most of the awards as Netizen Award, Best Actor, Most Popular Actor, Best Couple Award, and Best Star Award.

 

 

2016 was Park Bo Gum’s most successful year, as his main role in the historical drama “Love in The Moonlight” with the actress Kim Yoo Jung, made the whole drama a national and international hit.
And that was when he won most of the awards as Netizen Award, Best Actor, Most Popular Actor, Best Couple Award, and Best Star Award.

Park Bo Gum didn’t forget his main intention to join the entertainment world, he was aiming at his beginnings to be a singer and song-writer. And that was when he released the OST of that same drama, showing the beautiful angelic voice that he has got. The soundtrack “My Person” has even topped mostly all charts in Korea.

After a two-year hiatus, he returned in the small screen with romantic melodrama “Encounter” alongside the famous actress Song Hye Kyo.

 

 

In 2019, Park was cast in the science fiction thriller film “Seo Bok”, as he released his first Japanese single "Bloomin".

 

We are still waiting for more works of this talented enough actor this year.
